Recipe Overview: How to Make Sweet Potato Puree

As with all of the recipes in our recipe index, this dish is designed so that anyone can make it! Making Sweet Potato Puree at home is easy and only requires a few simple steps:

Step 1: Prepare the Potatoes

Start by peeling the sweet potatoes. Once peeled, dice into equally sized 1-inch cubes.

Step 2: Cook the Potatoes

Bring a large pot of water to a boil and cook the potatoes until tender. Be careful not to overcook the potatoes. You should be able to easily insert a fork without completely crushing the potatoes. If you overcook them, they will be mushy!

Blend the cooked potatoes together with warm spices such as cinnamon and nutmeg, along with butter and cream to create a delicious sweet potato puree!

Step 4: Garnish and Serve

To improve your plating and presentation skills, garnish this dish with cinnamon dust or cinnamon sticks. Serve warm.
